How to Call Without a SIM Card

Why a SIM isn't needed
A normal phone call goes through your mobile network, so it needs a working SIM. A browser call goes over the internet to 002call's phone carrier, which then rings the number for you. Your phone only needs a connection, not a mobile plan.
That means it works on:
- A phone with no SIM, on Wi-Fi
- A phone with a foreign SIM that has no roaming
- A laptop or tablet, which never had a SIM in the first place
How to call without a SIM
- Connect to Wi-Fi. Hotel, café, airport or home Wi-Fi all work.
- Open the web dialer in your browser and create an account.
- Enter the number with its country code, such as
+1for the US or+61for Australia. - Check the rate, then press call. Let the browser use your microphone when it asks.
Every new user gets a free test call of up to one minute, so you can check it works first.
Emergency calls
002call can't call emergency numbers such as 911, 112 or 999. In many countries a phone can call the local emergency number even without a SIM, so try that from your phone's normal dialer.

Do I need an app? No. It works in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer.

Can people call me back on it? No. 002call is for outgoing calls. To receive calls you need a phone number of your own.
Does it work on mobile data instead of Wi-Fi? Yes, but it uses data. Wi-Fi is usually cheaper when you're abroad.
