- Use the GOV.UK tool to confirm the route. Go to UKVI's "Contact UK Visas and Immigration for help" tool and answer "Outside the UK" to the question "Where are you contacting UKVI from?". If you are contacting UKVI for someone outside the UK, select "Outside the UK" even if you are in the UK.

The English line is open Monday to Friday, 24 hours, and is closed on UK bank holidays. UKVI also publishes hours for other languages on the same main number, excluding UK bank holidays. These are given in UK local time. For example, the Spanish line runs Monday to Friday, 1pm to 1am UK local time, and the French line runs Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm UK local time.
