Which Philippine Airlines number to call

PAL runs its main reservations hotline from Manila and has a toll-free line shared by the US and Canada. The UK and Japan have their own numbers.

PAL's own travel page says that if your country is not on its list, you should call the Manila number. That includes the Gulf states and Australia, which have no number in the table. A Filipino worker in Riyadh changing a flight home, for example, would ring +63 2 8855 8888.

Calling the toll-free lines from abroad

Calling the Tokyo office

PAL's Japanese site lists +81 3 6262 5663 for its Tokyo reservations and ticketing team. Phone bookings are taken Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Japan time, and the line is closed on weekends and Japanese public holidays. If you call outside those hours, use the Manila hotline instead.

When you don't need to call

PAL lists other ways to reach it besides the phone:

• Viber. Search for Philippine Airlines in Viber and message its official account.
• Messenger and web chat. PAL lists Facebook Messenger and the myPAL Web Chat on its website as contact options.
• Refunds and travel vouchers. PAL's booking FAQ says you can request these through the myPAL RequestHub online, as well as through the hotline or a PAL ticket office.

Messages suit simple requests that can wait. For a flight leaving soon, the phone is still the faster route to a person.
