Calling Emirates from Overseas
Need to change an Emirates flight while you are away from home? Call the contact centre for the country you booked in. The numbers are below, and calls start from $0.02 / minute with 002call.
Which Emirates number to call
Emirates gives each country its own contact centre number on its help page. Pick the line for the country where you booked, or the Dubai line, which Emirates says is open 24/7.
| Country | Number | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| United Arab Emirates (Dubai) | +971 600 555555 | $0.19 / minute |
| United Kingdom | +44 344 800 2777 | $0.02 / minute |
| United States | +1 800 777 3999 | $0.02 / minute |
| India | +91 91670 03333 | $0.03 / minute |
| Australia | +61 1300 303 777 | Shown before you dial |
| Canada | +1 800 762 9775 | $0.02 / minute |
| Pakistan | +92 21 111 225 535 | $0.07 / minute |
At home, the line for your own country is a normal call. This page is for when you are somewhere else: an Indian family stuck in Bangkok after a missed connection, say, who want the India line without paying roaming rates while they wait on hold.
The Dubai line works from anywhere
Emirates' UK help page says you can "call our 24/7 Contact Centre at +971600555555" instead of the UK number, and adds that international rates apply. So if the line for your country is busy, or you booked somewhere not listed here, +971 600 555555 is the fallback. From 002call it costs $0.19 / min.
Calling the US and Canada lines from abroad
+1 800 777 3999 (US) and +1 800 762 9775 (Canada) are toll-free numbers. They are free at home, but from another country your carrier may not connect them, or may charge for the call. Through 002call they are ordinary calls at $0.02 / min. The Australian line, +61 1300 303 777, is a 1300 number. Through 002call you can dial it from any country, and the rate shows before the call starts.
Emirates' US and Canada help pages both list a TTY (text phone) number, +1 888 320 1576, for callers who are deaf or hard of hearing.
When you don't need to call
Emirates' help page points to a few routes that avoid the phone queue:
- Rebook online. You can move to another flight to the same destination, or a different destination in the same region, through Manage Your Booking on emirates.com or in the Emirates App.
- Live chat. Every country's help page has a "Start Live chat" button above the phone number.
- Social media. Emirates says its customer service teams on Facebook and Twitter answer 24/7 in English and Arabic.
- Forms. Refund requests, delayed baggage certificates, lost property and complaints each have their own form on the help page, so you don't need a call to start them.
Before you call
Have these ready so the agent can find your booking quickly:
- Your booking reference and the passenger's last name
- Your e-ticket number, if you have the receipt
- Your Emirates Skywards number, if you are a member
- The flight you want instead, with date and route
Note the agent's name and any reference number. If the call drops, you can ring back and pick up where you left off.
Rates and charges
From 002call, the Dubai line is $0.19 / min. The UK, US and Canada lines are $0.02 / min, India is $0.03 / min and Pakistan is $0.07 / min.
Calls from mobiles, public phones and hotel rooms may attract extra charges.

Breakdown of Providers
Calling an airline from abroad can cost more than expected, because most of the call is time on hold.
- Carrier roaming: $0.50 - $2.00 / min, depending on the carrier, plus monthly and hidden charges.
- Hotel room phones: hotels add their own administrative markup to international calls.
- 002call: a flat rate per country, from $0.02 / min to the UK, US and Canada lines.
Why 002call is the smart way to call
002call places the call over the internet from your browser, so there are no international call charges from a carrier or a hotel phone. You pay one flat rate per minute, with no subscription, and on Wi-Fi the call uses no mobile data. A 40-minute call to the Dubai line costs $7.60. On roaming at $1.00 a minute, the same call is $40.
Frequently asked questions
Which number should I call if I booked online?
Emirates lists one number per country and does not say which one handles online bookings. Try the line for the country you live in first. The Dubai line is open 24/7 if that one is busy.
Can I call from my mobile?
Yes. On 002call the call goes through your browser, so your carrier does not charge for an international call. Hotel or café Wi-Fi keeps mobile data out of it too.
Is there a number for lost or delayed bags?
Emirates' help page doesn't list a separate baggage number. It has a baggage portal, a "Baggage enquiries" section and a delayed baggage certificate form.
Do deaf or hard-of-hearing passengers have a line?
Yes. The US and Canada help pages list the TTY number +1 888 320 1576.
