BPI Hotline: Numbers to Call From Abroad
Card blocked or OTP not arriving while you are working or travelling abroad? The BPI hotline numbers are below, and calls start from $0.02 / minute with 002call.
Which BPI hotline to call
BPI's 24-hour Contact Center in Manila takes calls from any country. BPI also lists toll-free numbers for the US and Canada that reach the same phone bankers.
| # | Line | Number | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 24-hour Contact Center (Manila) | +63 2 889 10000 | $0.19 / minute |
| 2 | United States (toll-free) | +1 800 225 1202 | $0.02 / minute |
| 3 | Canada (toll-free) | +1 800 354 5449 | $0.02 / minute |
BPI describes the Manila line as its 24-hour Contact Center, and its contact page tells anyone whose country has no toll-free number to dial it with the international access code. BPI's own pages send overseas callers to it for card blocks, replacement cards and changes to the mobile number used for OTPs.
Calling the US and Canada lines from abroad
+1 800 225 1202 (US) and +1 800 354 5449 (Canada) are toll-free numbers. They are free inside those countries, but from anywhere else your carrier may not connect them, or may charge for the call. Through 002call they are normal calls at $0.02 / min, so a Filipino in Dubai or Rome can use them too.
Free numbers in other countries
BPI's list of international toll-free numbers has more countries. Each one works only from a phone on the carrier BPI names for it, and BPI says to check that your phone service supports that carrier. Mobile users should ask their provider whether the number is allowed, and any fees the provider charges are paid by the caller.
| # | Country | Number | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Australia | +61 1800 140 390 | Free from a Telstra line |
| 2 | France | +33 800 905 585 | Free from a France Telecom line |
| 3 | Hong Kong | +852 800 932 634 | Free from an NWT line |
| 4 | Malaysia | +60 1800 807 767 | Free from a TM line |
| 5 | Saudi Arabia | +966 800 863 0008 | Free from an STC line |
| 6 | Singapore | +65 800 6363 007 | Free from a Singtel line |
| 7 | United Arab Emirates | +971 800 0630 0017 | Free from an Etisalat line |
If you are on a different carrier, or the free number won't connect, call the Manila line, +63 2 889 10000, instead.
Lost or stolen card abroad
BPI's own advice for a card lost abroad is to block it in the app or BPI Online first, then call if you need a phone banker. Blocking in the app takes effect straight away, so do that before anything else.
- Credit card. Log in, tap More, then Card Management and Card Control. Open Credit Cards, go to the card's Card Settings and switch on Temporary Block. If the card is gone for good, choose Permanently Block Card, then Block and Replace Card or Block Card Only, and confirm with your One-Time PIN or Mobile Key.
- Debit card. Log in, tap More, open Card Control, pick the card and tap Permanently block card. A debit card has to be permanently blocked before you can ask for a replacement.
- Call the Contact Center. If you can't log in, or you see transactions you don't recognise, call +63 2 889 10000 and ask a phone banker to block the card.
A replacement debit card costs PHP 200 and is picked up at the BPI branch you choose, so someone at home may need to collect it for you. BPI quotes about 2 banking days for Metro Manila branches and up to 6 for the Visayas and Mindanao.
Not getting your OTP abroad
BPI sends One-Time PINs to your registered mobile number. If that is a Philippine SIM you aren't using abroad, the codes may not reach you.
Mobile Key is the way around it. It approves logins and transfers inside the BPI app with a PIN or biometrics, and BPI says you can still do online transactions outside your telco's coverage area as long as you have a stable internet connection. You turn it on under More, Settings, Security. The catch is that switching it on asks for one last OTP, so set it up before you leave if you can.
To change the registered number while abroad, BPI gives two routes:
- Call +63 2 889 10000, or the toll-free number for your country, then follow the instructions BPI emails to your registered address.
- Log in at help.bpi.com.ph, click Submit a Request, choose BPI Online Account-related Request and then the option to update your mobile number for OTP.
Either way, you need access to the email address registered with BPI.
BPI Preferred clients
The BPI Preferred line, +63 2 7791 0077, accepts only local calls. BPI's Preferred page tells clients overseas to use +63 2 889 10000 instead. For anything that can wait, Preferred clients can also email preferred@bpi.com.ph. BPI aims to reply within 24 hours, and emails sent after 7:00 PM on a Friday are handled on the next banking day.
Before you call
Have these ready so the phone banker can check who you are:
- Your card number, or the last digits if the card is lost
- Your account number
- Access to the email address registered with BPI
- A note of any transactions you don't recognise, with dates and amounts
Manila is on UTC+8 all year. The Contact Center is open 24 hours, so you can call in your own evening without waiting for Philippine office hours.
Rates and charges
From 002call, the Manila Contact Center is $0.19 / min, and the US and Canada toll-free lines are $0.02 / min.

Breakdown of Providers
Calling a Philippine bank from abroad can cost more than expected, especially when a card block turns into a long call.
- Carrier roaming: $0.50 - $2.00 / min, depending on the carrier, plus monthly and hidden charges.
- Hotel room phones: hotels add their own administrative markup to international calls.
- 002call: $0.19 / min to the Manila line, and $0.02 / min to the US and Canada lines.
Why 002call is the smart way to call
002call places the call over the internet from your browser, so there are no international call charges from a carrier or a hotel phone. You pay one flat rate per minute with no subscription, and on Wi-Fi the call uses no mobile data. A 20-minute call to the Manila line costs $3.80. On roaming at $1.00 a minute, the same call is $20.
Frequently asked questions
Is the BPI hotline open at night?
Yes. BPI describes +63 2 889 10000 as its 24-hour Contact Center.
My country isn't on BPI's toll-free list. What do I dial?
Dial +63 2 889 10000. That is the number BPI gives for every country without its own toll-free line.
Can I call the BPI Preferred hotline from abroad?
No. BPI says the Preferred line takes local calls only, and points clients overseas to the 24-hour Contact Center.
Can I call from my mobile?
Yes. On 002call the call goes through your browser, so your carrier does not charge for an international call. Hotel or café Wi-Fi keeps mobile data out of it too.
